Managing land in a way that supports nature is a key concern of the modern-day farmer, whether that’s planting trees and hedgerows, growing wildflowers for bees and other pollinators, or maintaining grazing land that support insects, mammals, and birds.

A proud Welsh dairy farmer, Anna's cows graze on a mix of grass and other plants, including chicory, clover, and plantain. This blend attracts different insects, helping increase biodiversity on site. The clover also naturally fixes nitrogen into the soil which helps reduce the need for artificial fertiliser.
Tracey Langston
A third-generation dairy farmer, Tracey plants trees that help soak up excess water from wet areas on the farm, which in turn provide shade and shelter for cows. Some of the farm's older trees have been standing since Tracey's great grandparents planted them over 50 years ago!
